Starting at our dive center, we will go through all the nitty gritty and important things that you may have forgotten over the years. Your instructor will show you how to assemble your scuba unit and will go through the different parts of equipment and their uses. Next, he will review the basics of diving physics and physiology as well as the underwater realm. Furthermore, you will discuss communication and basic dive skills.

After this 40 to 50 minute review you will gear up and walk across the road into the lagoon. There, our instructor will take you on a shallow confined water refresher dive in the lagoon inside Rarotonga ’s Aroa Marine Reserve (rā‘ui). You will spend 45 minutes underwater. Most of the dive is spent at the coral reef. You will dive around coral structures and observe Rarotonga’s wonderful marine life. You will also practice basic dive skills to get your dive abilities up to scratch again.

Our refresher dives in Rarotonga take about two hours. We conduct refresher dives either at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm, depending on the tides on the day.

Once you have completed the refresher dive, you can join us on our guided Excursions Plongées for certified divers .
