Adventure Cook Islands Dive Centre and Rental Specialist
This is the next step up from the Open Water Diver certification if you want to extend your dive knowledge. The course takes 3 half days over which you will conduct 5 open water Adventure Dives around Rarotonga. Each Adventure Dive is in a different field. You will conduct a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive, as well as 3 other elective dives. The theory is limited to self-study of the chapter to the specific dive that you will conduct.
If you are constraint by time while you are in Rarotonga, you may choose to complete only a few of the 5 required Adventure Dives with us and complete the remaining dives on a later date and/or in a different place. After completing 3 Adventure Dives, you may get certified as a PADI Adventure Diver.
Course requirements: You need to be medically fit and healthy (see medical form here) and hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or the equivalent from another recognized training organization such as SSI, NAUI, CMAS, and NZUA…). Minimum age: 12 years for “Junior Advanced Open Water Diver” certification (10 -11 years old may participate in some of the Adventure Dives and may obtain the “Junior Adventure Diver” certification), 15 years for “Advanced Open Water Diver” certification.
