Adventure Cook Islands Dive Centre and Rental Specialist
Easy diving in warm, clear water and great marine life makes Rarotonga a well sought after location for scuba diver training.
Whether you are already a qualified scuba diver and you want to extend your dive training with PADI or if diving is all new to you and you want to blow your first bubbles: Rarotonga offers ideal conditions for PADI scuba dive courses. The lagoon surrounding our beach is our natural training pool, just a few metres away. Our open water dive sites on Rarotonga are within a few minutes boat ride.
At Adventure Cook Islands we offer a wide range of PADI certification dive courses which are recognized worldwide. The Professional Association of Diving Instructors is the world’s largest diver training association and offers high standard diver training.
Your PADI dive course in the Cook Islands will be taught by one of our experienced PADI dive instructors. Our PADI dive professionals have many years of diving and teaching experience worldwide and are amongst the most experienced dive instructors on the island.
Our PADI instructors are multilingual and can teach PADI dive courses in English, German, French, Italian and Dutch.
We offer different training options for most PADI dive courses. You can complete the knowledge development (theory) portion for each PADI course in our classroom. Alternatively, you may choose to complete the entire theoretical part of any of our PADI dive courses in Rarotonga online through PADI’s eLearning system. Furthermore, you can complete the confined water section of a PADI dive course with your local PADI DIVE CENTRE at home. You can then complete the open water training dives with us while visiting Rarotonga. We also offer PADI REFERRALS, should you, for some unforeseeable reason, not be able to finish your dive course with us during your stay. Please CONTACT US for more information.
Medical Requirements
To enroll in any of our PADI dive courses you need to be medically fit and healthy. You will have to fill out a questionnaire about your medical history at the beginning of each PADI dive course. If you answer any of the questions on the medical form with YES, you will have to get a medical clearance from a doctor prior to any inwater training. If you are unsure about whether you have a medical condition that is incompatible with scuba diving, you can view and download the full RSTC Medical Questionnaire here.
