Are you looking for a dive challenge while holidaying in Rarotonga? Continue your dive education with with our dive centre team and become a PADI Rescue diver in Rarotonga.
In the course you will learn different ways to avoid, handle and manage problems related to diving. The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you to identify possible problems before they arise and how to address problems when they do occur. You will practice different rescue scenarios and learn vital rescue skills that will benefit you for a lifetime. You will built confidence as a diver by learning how to deal with dive emergency situations.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is probably the most challenging recreational PADI dive course, but at the same time it is the most rewarding course.
To begin the course, start studying with PADI Rescue Diver Online through PADI’s elearning portal. YOu can do this before coming to Rarotonga so you will save valuable vacation time.
Expected online study duration: 12 hours
The practical part consists of different training sessions and scenarios in confined water and open water. The confined water sessions will be conducted inside the lagoon in front of our shop. The open water sessions will be off our boat on any of our dive sites in Rarotonga. You will complete the in-water training with our PADI intructors in Rarotonga over 2 to 3 days.
We need a minimum of 2 people to run a Rescue Diver course.
COURSE PRICESCourse requirements:
You need to be healthy (see medical form here) and fit, be a good, competent swimmer, hold a current First Aid certificate and be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or the equivalent from another recognized training organization such as SSI, NAUI, CMAS, SDI and NZUA…). Ideally, you should have a minimum of 20 dives, more are better.
